Salt-free Cajun Seasoning

I used to use pre-made Cajun seasoning, but it always ended up way to salty. It’s just hard to control if you don’t know how much is in it. The nice thing about making your own seasoning is, you can salt your food while your cooking and add more as you go. This Cajun seasoning is good for shrimp, chicken or fish and also, blackening them.

Prep Time : 5 minutes

Ingredients:

2 Tbs smoked paprika

1 Tbs onion powder

1 Tbs garlic powder

1 1/2 tsp dried oregano

1 1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

1/2 crushed red pepper

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

 

  1. In a clean 4 oz jar, mix all dry ingredients into a jar.
  2. place lid on jar and shake it up.
  3. Label and place in your spice cabinet or drawer.
